Redmi will enter the open-ear earbud segment in October with the Clip Neo, its first clip-on model. Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing has confirmed a China launch alongside the Redmi K100, which expands a series that already includes the Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max.
A teaser image shows white earbuds made up of two rounded sections connected by a curved bridge, plus a rounded charging case with a small front status light. The clip-on design wraps around the outer ear rather than sealing the ear canal, allowing ambient sound to remain audible while listening.
Redmi has not detailed the Clip Neo's audio hardware, battery life, durability rating or price. Xiaomi's own clip-on earbuds, introduced in China in May, provide a reference point for the category but do not confirm any features for the Redmi model.
- Xiaomi’s clip-on earbuds launched in China at a recommended price of 849 yuan.
- Each Xiaomi earbud weighs 5.5 grams and uses a shape-memory titanium wire for its fit.
- The Xiaomi model includes 11 mm drivers and an IP57 dust- and water-resistance rating.
- It also supports Apple’s Find My network and real-time translation in 21 languages.
Whether Redmi will undercut Xiaomi's model, carry over any of those features, or release the Clip Neo outside China remains unconfirmed ahead of the October event.
