Lava launched 3 new handsets today, all of them budget models with 4G: Lava A88, A71 and X11. The starting price of the trio is $80 and the designs aren’t shabby at all for that price tag.
All of them run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, with the promise of an upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the A71 and A88. They are also dual SIM models with 4G LTE connectivity on both TDD-LTE Band 40 and FDD-LTE Band 3 in India. Lava A88 packs a 5 inch 854 x 480 pixel display and relies on a quad core processor, clocked at 1.5 GHz, plus 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of storage and a microSD card slot.
It brings a main 5 MP camera, a front 2 MP shooter and a 2000 mAh battery. Then there’s the Lava A71, with a 5 inch HD screen, a quad core Spreadtrum CPU at 1.5 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. The same camera combo is here, plus a 2500 mAh battery. Finally, the last model is the Lava X11, with a 5 inch HD screen, a 1.5 GHz quad core CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, 8 MP main camera and 5 MP selfie cam.
The battery has a 2500 mAh capacity. Lava A88 comes in black and white and goes for $80, while the Lava A71 is available in blue, black and gold, for $95. X11 is offered in blue and white with gold, at $117.
