Logitech has introduced the MX Master 4 Developer Edition, a limited version of its productivity mouse that swaps the standard look for a programming-themed finish while retaining the same hardware and feature set. The product is listed by Logitech as the MX Master 4 Special Edition in the “Developer” colorway.
The light- and dark-gray body uses yellow-green accents, circuit-trace graphics and coding symbols such as // and . Its thumb rest carries the text “{Hello, World},” while the Special Edition label is styled as a code comment.
- “0xFF + 1” references Programmer’s Day, observed on the 256th day of the year.
- “09.17” points to September 17, the release date of the first version of the Linux kernel.
- “!04.01” refers to World Backup Day on March 31; the exclamation mark denotes negation in many programming languages, making it “not April 1.”

Specifications carry over from the regular MX Master 4, including an 8,000 DPI sensor that works on glass surfaces at least 4 mm thick and a MagSpeed wheel rated for scrolling up to 1,000 lines per second. Its Haptic Sense panel provides adjustable vibration feedback for supported actions through Logi Options+.
Logi Options+ also configures Actions Ring, a circular shortcut menu that appears near the pointer. Native haptic integration in Windows 11 supports tasks including window management and aligning objects in PowerPoint, but requires the Windows update available from late March 2026 and the corresponding firmware installed through Options+.

Logitech’s European store lists the Developer Edition at €129.99, matching the standard MX Master 4’s launch recommended price. It is currently marked temporarily out of stock, and Logitech offers an availability notification option. The Special Edition brings no hardware changes or price reduction, leaving its design as the sole differentiator.
