LG is expanding its Fit & Max appliance strategy at IFA 2026 to cover refrigerators, washing machines, dryers and dishwashers. The common aim is tighter furniture integration, with flatter surfaces and reduced gaps while retaining interior storage or load capacity.
The approach began with refrigerators, where LG combines flat exteriors, thinner doors and Zero Clearance hinges intended to allow installation very close to walls or adjacent cabinetry. Selected refrigerator models also add Dual FRESHConverter+ and a Full Convert Drawer, providing up to three adjustable temperature zones. AI Fresh monitors usage patterns for three weeks before adjusting cooling behavior, according to LG.
For laundry appliances, LG says it has redesigned internal components and used Direct Drive motor control to free up drum space within familiar external dimensions. Compared with the older F4J8J at a 600 mm depth, the company claims up to 3 kg of additional capacity; at a 550 mm depth, it cites up to 2 kg more than the F4J8V. The figures vary by model.
The new washing machines and dryers use flat front panels intended to align more neatly with surrounding furniture. LG is also bringing AI Wash and AI Dry functions, which adjust cycles based on the characteristics of the load.
Fit & Max dishwashers adopt a flush-fit design for closer alignment with kitchen fronts. Their feature set includes AI SenseClean, which detects soil levels and adapts the wash process, plus a Wash & Dry program designed to complete a full cycle in around 60 minutes. LG notes that the actual duration can increase depending on operating conditions and enabled options.
LG will show the Fit & Max range in Hall 18 at IFA 2026. The company has not yet published a full international list of model numbers, regional availability or pricing, leaving those details as the next key indicators of how broadly the expanded lineup will launch.
