The LG Volt handset has just debuted as the upgraded F90 model for Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile, a new midrange phone that was spotted back at MWC 2014 earlier this year. This model was on its way to Sprint and now it has arrived at these prepaid brands.

This device is basically the LG F90, but with a few minor upgrades. This is a 4G LTE affordable smartphone that can be bought from Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile for $179.99 without contract commitment. It’s available in white for Virgin and in dark blue for Boost and it’s the first device to come to these carriers with 150 Mbps LTE support.

LG Volt uses a 4.7 inch IPS touchscreen with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution, an 8 megapixel shooter and a 1.3 MP front camera. Inside it we find a quad core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, as well as 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. There’s a microSD card slot on board, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 3000 mAh battery. The OS here is Android 4.4 KitKat and I have to say that the design is not bad at all.
