Usually we cover Asian phones, but today we uncovered an European unit that sounds interesting. The device is called Linshof i8 and comes from Germany, with an unusual form factor and an octa core processor.
This unit offers high end hardware for a midrange price, or at least that’s the promise of the German device maker. The body has an unusual top and bottom, with an almost trapeze shape. Linshof i8 is made of brushed aluminum and comes in black or coffee color. Its specs include a 5 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 80 GB of storage and inside there’s an octa core processor clocked at 2.1 GHz.
The CPU doesn’t sound familiar, so it could be a newcomer, like the Snapdragon 810, or maybe a MediaTek MT6795, who knows? This model also packs 3 GB of RAM, a 13 megapixel back camera with 28 mm wide angle lens and F/1.8 aperture, as well as an 8 MP shooter and a 3100 mAh battery. The i8 has HDMI 1.4 with 3D support, NFC and it will even run Android 5.0 with a special UI On top.
The price is even more incredible, at $380 and the product is coming in Q1 2015. Too good to be true…
