Xiaomi Mi 5 has just been announced, both in Barcelona and China, in dedicated events. Just like we expected, it’s a high end phone, with a good looking design, that seems to involve curved edges at the back side.

The handset packs a 5.15 inch Full HD screen, as well as a quad core Snapdragon 820 processor and it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 7 on top. We also get a 16 megapixel main camera with dual tone LED flash, phase detection autofocus and DTS pixel isolation. Also, there’s a Spectra image processor available here, 4 axis optical image stabilization and 4K video recording.

Xiaomi Mi 5 has a front camera with a 4 MP resolution and pixel size of 2 microns. It integrates a fingerprint scanner and has a 3D glass facade, as well as glass at the back side. Measuring 7.25 mm in thickness, this model has two versions, one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage and one with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

Its battery is a 3000 mAh unit, with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0, that offers a talk time of up to 2.5 hours with just 5 minutes of charging. The device comes in black, white, rose gold and gold, priced upwards from $306. It’ll go on sale in China on March 1st.
