Nothing is reportedly preparing two distinct pairs of smart glasses, separating an audio-focused model from a more advanced version with a camera and AI features. Tipster Roland Quandt says the camera-equipped glasses could add ChatGPT integration and translation support, although Nothing has not announced either product.

The first pair is said to forgo a camera and instead handle functions commonly associated with wireless earbuds through a connected phone. Its reported capabilities include:

  • Music playback
  • Phone-call handling
  • Voice-assistant interaction through the paired smartphone

Both models may use photochromic lenses that darken in sunlight and become clearer indoors. Quandt indicates that the audio-only version could arrive soon, but no specific launch date has been reported.

The second model would retain the audio functions while adding a camera, ChatGPT and translation tools. The camera could provide visual input for AI interactions, while users would speak requests and hear responses through the glasses. A previous Bloomberg report indicated that requests would be processed through a phone and the cloud, with no integrated augmented-reality display.

That earlier report placed the camera-equipped glasses in the first half of 2027. It remains unclear whether the two versions would launch together, and the reports do not confirm their final design, battery life, pricing or wider availability.
