OnePlus may be preparing a performance-focused Turbo Pro phone with an unusually aggressive mix of display speed and battery capacity. A leak attributed to Digital Chat Station, which was subsequently edited, points to a 185Hz screen, a 200MP camera and a battery rated at no less than 9,000mAh. OnePlus has not confirmed the device, its final name or any launch plans.

  • A flat 6.78-inch display with 1.5K resolution and a reported 185Hz refresh rate
  • Qualcomm’s unannounced SM8845 Pro chipset, said to be built on a 3nm process
  • A 200MP camera, although the sensor, optical stabilization and secondary cameras remain unspecified
  • A battery of at least 9,000mAh; family prototypes were reportedly tested with 10,000mAh units
  • Support for an external cooling fan

The reported 185Hz panel and external fan support suggest that sustained mobile gaming is central to the concept. However, Qualcomm has not formally announced the SM8845 Pro, which remains an internal model designation in the leak. Its CPU and GPU configuration, modem, clock speeds and position in Qualcomm's portfolio are unknown, so its performance cannot yet be assessed against current flagship chips.

OnePlus has used its China-first Turbo line as a route to other markets before. The OnePlus Turbo 6 was said to pair a 165Hz display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip and 9,000mAh battery before arriving elsewhere as the OnePlus Nord 6. That precedent does not confirm a global Turbo Pro release, and any potential rebranded model could carry changed specifications or battery capacity.

For now, the largest unanswered questions are whether the 185Hz specification survives into a retail product and whether OnePlus intends to take the Turbo Pro beyond China.
