There’s a new selfie phone incoming, the Oppo A57, that’s ready to come to India with a 16 megapixel front camera on February 3rd. It’ll be priced at $232 and it also has a fingerprint scanner in the mix.

Feeling a bit like an iPhone 6, design-wise at least, this model is a midrange unit, that was actually introduced in China back in November last year. Making it tick is an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset, working in tandem with a 5.2 inch HD display and Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ColorOS 3.0 on top. There’s a 13 megapixel main camera here, with LED flash and PDAF.

There’s also 4G LTE and VoLTE available and a 2900 mAh battery, supposed to offer 11 hours of video playback, although that sounds quite optimistic. The device has a curved 2.5D glass panel and uses 3 GB of RAM, as well as 32 GB of storage. It measures 7.65 mm in thickness, weighs 147 grams and offers a hybrid dual SIM slot system. It’ll be available in gold and rose gold.
