Roborock has unveiled its first robotic pool cleaner, the RockAqua P1, at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The underwater robot is designed to clean pool floors, walls, waterlines and shallow platforms, extending the company’s autonomous-cleaning product range beyond indoor floor care and lawn mowers.
The RockAqua P1 is intended to navigate pools with complex shapes, slopes and hard-to-reach sections. Its route-planning system adapts to the pool’s geometry, while a monocular camera is used for obstacle detection and avoidance. Anti-drop sensors are also included for operation near the edges of shallow platforms.

Roborock says the cleaner can operate in water as shallow as 15 cm, allowing it to reach ledges and other shallow areas that may be difficult for conventional pool robots. A dynamic dirt-detection system is designed to identify areas requiring more intensive cleaning.
For debris collection, the RockAqua P1 has a claimed suction flow of 6,800 GPH, or roughly 25,700 liters per hour. It uses a 4-liter container and a two-stage reusable filtration system with 180-micron and 70-micron filters for different debris sizes.

Battery life is rated at up to 3.5 hours, with a full recharge also taking around 3.5 hours. When a cleaning cycle is complete, its Auto Waterline Parking feature brings the robot back to the waterline for retrieval rather than leaving it at the bottom of the pool. Roborock has not yet announced pricing or commercial availability for the RockAqua P1.
