Samsung’s next Galaxy A-series model may retain 45W wired charging rather than move to a faster standard. A device listed as SM-A5860, believed to be the Galaxy A58 variant for China, has appeared in China’s 3C certification database with support for 15V/3A input, or up to 45W.
The listing also indicates that the handset will be sold without a charger in the box. That would match the Galaxy A57’s maximum charging rating, although charging speed in real-world use will also depend on the battery capacity, charging curve and chipset efficiency.
Earlier reports point to little change in camera resolution from the previous generation. The rumored setup includes:
- 50MP main camera
- 12MP ultrawide camera
- 5MP macro camera
- 12MP front-facing camera
Those figures mirror the Galaxy A57, though matching resolutions do not confirm that Samsung will reuse the same camera sensors. An Exynos 1780 chipset has also been rumored, while a brighter display, IP68 dust and water resistance, and stereo speakers remain unconfirmed expectations.
On the software side, the Galaxy A58 is rumored to launch with Android 17 and One UI 9.5. Firmware identified as A586BXXU0AZI5 was reportedly found on Samsung servers in October. Current expectations place the phone’s debut in March 2027, following the Galaxy S27 series; battery capacity and the extent of any hardware upgrades remain unclear.
