Samsung Galaxy Premier is coming to South Korea, but in the process it may get rebranded to Galaxy Pop and it may get a specs bump. The source here is a post on a Korean forum, but we advise you to take the info with the usual grain of salt. Here’s what the device looks like:

The phone has the codename SHV-E220 and it’s intended for a February launch. Samsung Galaxy Premier/Pop will have a 1.4 GHz Exynos 4412 processor and not the dual core CPU on the Premier for the international market. Samsung also upgraded the specs of the Korean Galaxy Grand with a quad core CPU, so this doesn’t surprise me. The rest of the specs stay the same.

This means we still have a 4.65 inch HD Super AMOLED display, Android 4.1.2 OS with a brand new TouchWiz UI, 3G/LTE, DMB and 8 or 16 GB of storage. There’s also an 8 megapixel cam at the back, 2 MP one upfront and 2100 mAh battery. Galaxy Pop launches in Korea on SKT, KT and LG U+.
