Samsung is reportedly preparing premium over-ear headphones that could launch in early 2027 alongside the Galaxy S27 series. The model may be called Galaxy Studio and, if released, would mark Samsung's return to the over-ear category after roughly a decade.

The Galaxy Studio name was shared by tipster @evowizz, who previously revealed the Galaxy Buds On branding. The same report says Samsung is also working on Galaxy Buds with an ear-hook design, pointing to a broader expansion of its wireless-audio lineup.

No hardware specifications have been confirmed. However, the report points to a feature set expected of a high-end rival to Apple's AirPods Max line.

  • Bluetooth 6.1 connectivity, plus AAC, SBC and Samsung Scalable Codec UHQ support.
  • Bluetooth LE Audio features including the LC3 codec and Auracast.
  • Adaptive active noise cancellation, adaptive equalization and multiple microphones, potentially with Super Wideband voice-call technology.
  • USB-C charging and Galaxy ecosystem features such as Buds Auto Switch, Samsung Find, Bixby and Google Gemini support.

The Galaxy Studio name, launch timing, feature list, pricing and market availability remain unconfirmed. Samsung has not announced the headphones, leaving the Galaxy S27 launch window as the next potential milestone for clarification.
