Most of the new hot smartphones usually get dubbed “iPhone killers”, but here’s a handset that promises to be a Nokia N96 killer: Samsung i8510 INNOV8. The cameraphone has just been reviewed by Mobileburn, who claim that although they haven’t reviewed the N96, it will be quite impossible for this handset to top INNOV8’s features.

In the meantime let’s have a look at Samsung i8510 INNOV8’s optical joystick, browser and apps in the video below:

This isn’t a flawless phone by any means, as it doesn’t come with US 3G support, but this type of connectivity will be supported everywhere else on the globe. Passing on to probably the most interesting aspect of the handset, the camera, we’re dealing with an 8 megapixel autofocus unit, that lacks optical zoom, but features face detection and support for slow motion video recording.

As for the interface, Samsung i8510 INNOV8 runs S60 UI and Symbian OS, common choices for Nokia smartphones, but this time with a modern Samsung-style finish. For more info hit the link below and see why this device “kills” the N96.
