Sony is preparing the PlayStation Pulse, a new over-ear gaming headset priced at $100 and scheduled to arrive in November. The model sits $50 below the previously released Pulse Elite, targeting PlayStation players who want a lower-cost wireless headset without dropping key audio features.
The headset uses planar magnetic drivers that Sony says are larger than those in the Pulse Elite. The company says the setup is designed to deliver fuller, deeper bass while maintaining clarity and accurate spatial positioning for in-game effects and voices.
Sony has also included a microphone with AI-powered background-noise reduction. Connectivity includes Bluetooth and PlayStation Link, Sony’s proprietary wireless technology, which the company says provides lossless audio, very low latency and switching between connected devices.

PlayStation Pulse will be offered in white and Midnight Black. The initial launch covers the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and more than 12 additional countries. Sony has not yet detailed broader European availability.
Sony’s wider audio roadmap includes the Pulse Elevate wireless speakers, which are also equipped with planar magnetic drivers and are set to ship in November 2026 for $220. A higher-end Pulse Edge model is planned for 2027, while further regional release details for the $100 Pulse headset remain pending.
