Vivo X20 Plus UD was a pretty exciting phone to see in action at CES 2018, as it inaugurated the trend of the in-display fingerprint sensors. Now we have its full specs list, courtesy of a TENAA certification. Let’s check the specs out.

I have to remind everyone that this is THE first smartphone with a fingerprint scanner embedded within the screen. It’s the first full production model of the kind, that was certified by TENAA and is ready for a commercial launch anytime now. Back when Synaptics revealed its system weeks ago we didn’t know who their first partner would be, with Samsung being the usual suspect. Turns out it was Vivo all along.

The Vivo X20 Plus UD got the 3C approval and certification recently and now it’s come full circle with TENAA. We’re not 100% sure of the Vivo X20 Plus UD name, but since two authorities mentioned it, it could well be the official title. The design is clearly inspired by the Vivo X20 Plus, with a horizontally oriented dual back camera and a slightly curved back panel.

It’s a big machine for sure, with a Full View 6.43 inch screen and an OLED panel, with Full HD+ resolution. There’s a Snapdragon 660 chipset here, 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The dual back camera integrates a 12 MP and 5 MP sensor, while selfies are being taken with a 12 MP front shooter. A 3800 mAh battery is included and Android 7.1.1 is the OS of choice.

Rumors talk about a price tag of $575 for the Vivo X20 Plus UD in China, which is a bit more than the usual price of the X20 Plus.
