vivo’s X500 Ultra may not remain a China-only flagship. A device listed as the vivo X500 Ultra has appeared in an IMEI database with model number V2660, offering an early indication that the handset could receive an international release.
The same database also includes a Jovi X500 Ultra identified as J2613. Jovi is the brand vivo uses for its smartphones in Brazil, making a Brazilian launch a plausible possibility if the listings correspond to final retail devices.
Such a rollout would follow the X300 Ultra. That model became vivo’s first Ultra phone to launch internationally after its March 30 debut in China; its wider release began in April, and it arrived in Brazil as the Jovi X300 Ultra in August.
The X500 Ultra’s hardware has not been confirmed, but current rumors point to several flagship-level upgrades:
- A Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor.
- A flat 6.85-inch BOE LTPO AMOLED display with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
- An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
- A 200MP periscope telephoto camera using a 1/1.2-inch sensor, compared with the predecessor’s reported 1/1.4-inch unit.
- A 50MP 35mm main camera with improved image stabilization.
- A battery capacity between 7,000mAh and 8,000mAh, up from the X300 Ultra’s 6,600mAh battery.
A launch in China is rumored for March or April, with other regions potentially following later. vivo has not confirmed the X500 Ultra, its specifications, or an international release schedule, so the IMEI listings remain an early signal rather than a launch announcement.
