Garmin Enduro 4 updates the company’s ultra-endurance watch formula with a faster processor, 50% more RAM and 64GB of storage—double the capacity of the Enduro 3. The upgraded platform is aimed chiefly at smoother mapping and offline-map storage, while the watch keeps the transflective MIP display and solar-assisted battery life that define the Enduro line.

The watch is offered in a single 51mm case size, measuring 51 x 51 x 15.7mm. Its construction combines a titanium bezel, a Power Sapphire lens and a fiber-reinforced polymer case, with 10 ATM water resistance. Garmin includes a khaki ComfortFit textile band and supports 26mm QuickFit bands.

Its 1.4-inch, 280 x 280-pixel MIP touchscreen favors outdoor readability and power efficiency over the contrast and color of an AMOLED panel. Five physical buttons remain available alongside touch controls, an important alternative for workouts, gloves or wet conditions. An integrated LED flashlight provides both white and red light.

Mapping and endurance tools take priority

Garmin says the revised map engine can pan up to 30% faster. Enduro 4 also gains Perspective View, which displays maps from an angled viewpoint, alongside TopoActive maps, turn-by-turn guidance, ClimbPro, NextFork and TracBack routing. Multi-band GPS is supported, along with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS; SatIQ can adjust satellite settings to balance positioning accuracy and power consumption.

  • Garmin Epic groups multiple activities into one multi-day adventure view in the watch and Garmin Connect.
  • Updated Stamina tools add new zones, endurance-time estimates and additional running and cycling charts.
  • Rucking modes allow the carried load to be entered or changed during an activity, with dedicated pace, elevation, load and calorie reporting.
  • Indoor rowing gains metrics including VO2 Max, FTP, lactate threshold and power zones when compatible equipment is used; an indoor cross-country skiing profile is also included for SkiErg machines.
  • Field Tools adds orientation, elevation and waypoint utilities, while ArcheryX support is an Enduro 4 hardware-specific feature.
  • Training features include Training Readiness, Training Status, Endurance Score, VO2 Max, PacePro and Grade Adjusted Pace.

The 64GB storage allocation can hold offline maps and music. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and ANT+ handle phone, network and accessory connections. Music can be stored locally, including content from compatible Spotify, Amazon Music and YouTube Music services, for playback through Bluetooth headphones without a phone after offline content has been prepared.

Enduro 4 has no built-in microphone, call speaker or standalone cellular connection. It does support NFC contactless payments through Garmin Pay, subject to compatible cards and regional bank support.

The health platform is built around Garmin’s fifth-generation Elevate optical sensor. It supports continuous heart-rate tracking, Pulse Ox blood-oxygen readings, respiration and stress tracking, HRV Status, Body Battery estimates, sleep-stage analysis, Sleep Coach and nap detection. ECG setup is also available in Garmin Connect. As with other wearable health features, availability and functionality can vary by market.

Battery claims remain the headline

Garmin rates Enduro 4 for up to 36 days in smartwatch mode without solar input, rising to up to 90 days with solar charging in favorable conditions. The solar estimates require at least three hours per day outdoors at 50,000 lux, so real-world results will be lower in winter, under clothing or during extended indoor use. In testing over 10 days, the battery was not exhausted.
