Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 18 Pro in China as the more compact member of its new flagship family. Despite its 6.4-inch footprint, the phone brings a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor and a Leica-branded camera system led by 200MP main and periscope telephoto cameras.
The flat 6.4-inch LTPO OLED display has a 2,436 x 1,120-pixel resolution, an adaptive 1Hz to 120Hz refresh rate and a claimed peak brightness of 4,000 nits. Xiaomi says the panel uses its M11 luminous material, covers the BT.2020 color space and is protected by Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0. The phone also has a hardware-level Privacy Display feature designed to selectively conceal notifications and other sensitive content from side viewing angles.
A 120Hz secondary OLED display is integrated into the rear camera area and can be used as a viewfinder for selfies taken with the primary cameras. Xiaomi offers the handset in black, white, Galaxy Blue and Ice Peach Pink.
Flagship hardware and cameras
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 is paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. Xiaomi lists configurations with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The 7,000mAh battery supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, 27W wired reverse charging and wireless reverse charging.

For imaging, the primary Leica camera uses a 200MP Light Fusion 960 sensor measuring 1/1.28 inch, with an f/1.67 aperture and optical image stabilization. It is joined by a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 102-degree field of view, autofocus and macro capability.
The 200MP Leica periscope telephoto camera has a 1/1.56-inch sensor, an f/2.4 aperture, optical stabilization and 3.2x optical zoom, equivalent to 75mm. Its floating lens arrangement enables tele-macro focusing from roughly 12cm. Xiaomi claims the telephoto captures 280% more light than the equivalent camera on the Xiaomi 17 Pro. A 50MP camera handles selfies, while video recording reaches 8K at 30fps or 4K at 120fps.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro measures 151.8 x 72 x 8.46mm or 8.56mm, depending on version, and weighs 203g or 208g.
China pricing and international outlook
The Xiaomi 18 Pro is currently available only in China. Pricing starts at CNY 5,999 for the 12GB/256GB model.

There have been indications of an international variant, but Xiaomi has not confirmed the markets or timing for a wider release. For now, the Xiaomi 18 Pro remains a China-only launch.
