Today it looks that the Chinese producer Xiaomi officially launched the MIUI 6 custom interface. This new version brings a beautiful design that offers fluent response, a good design being found in every tap, drag and pinch we make just by using the phone. We find that Xiaomi wanted to create a ROM with the best user experience and this is what happened.

At the home screen, the central place from where we switch between apps and enable or disable features we see new operation gestures that are optimized for devices with large screen. We can organize icons, quick search tools and other features into a intuitive and fun way. There’s also a new design for tools, Calendar, Calculator, Weather, Compass and Clock.

We can customize the homescreen as we want, with widgets and custom wallpapers. From any screen we can access the Notification Center, including the lock screen. With just a swipe down or swipe up we can get to the global search panel. Among other features included, there’s also Mi Cloud, an app that made Xiaomi get into a real fuss mostly because it stored personal data without users accord. However, this one offers 10 GB space of free storage.

The MIUI Cloud also offers the possibility to sync bookmarks in the MIUI Browser, so you can continue browsing web sites on your Mi Pad from where you left off on you Mi Phone. We get a Power Saving feature too, a new design for the gallery and a redefined interface for the phone call menu. More pictures and screenshots can be found here.
