There’s a new music phone in town, pertaining to the Muve series and Cricket is the one to sell it. Meet the ZTE Chorus, pictured below and just unveiled by the carrier previously mentioned. The specs of this handset aren’t that impressive, but as long as it delivers on the music promise, everything is OK.

We’re talking 3.2 inch 400 x 240 pixel resistive touch display, a 600 MHz processor, a 2 megapixel camera and a 1000 mAh battery. The device offers Muve Music access and it comes with a very affordable price of $40, that’s available for a limited time on mycricket.com and in Cricket retail stores and partners’ shops. There’s also a $55 per month Muve Music plan involved here, that will give you unlimited song downloads, ringtones, ringback tones and unlimited text, picture messaging and 3G mobile data.

The handset also supports 3G connectivity and incorporates SRS WOW HD technology, for the greatest playback experience that can be achieved on such a low end handset. They promise rich bass, high frequency clarity and more, but I wouldn’t bet my house on the audio quality of this device… Aren’t you better off with a HTC Sensation XE?
