ZTE Grand S was spotted at CES 2013 not so long ago and now there’s a brethren of that handset making the rounds on the web. This model is called ZTE V987 and it has some interesting and appealing specifications. They include a 5 inch gapless display at 720p resolution and at the back we’ve got an 8 megapixel camera.

That cam replaces the 13 MP shooter of the more potent ZTE model and the quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5 GHz CPU is also replaced here with a 1.2 GHz quad core chip of unknown origin. Potentially it could be the MediaTek MT6589, but we can’t guarantee that. The ZTE V987 has dual SIM support (WCDMA plus GSM) and a removable 2,500 mAh battery, quite a bit bigger than the Grand S 1780 mAh power source.

We’re very curious about the price of this model and seeing how it’s dual SIM and how it’s probably a model meant for China, I’d say that $250 or $300 is a probable amount to spend on this product. It would also be interesting to know how much RAM it has, although 1 GB should be a sure thing, otherwise the product is a no go.
