Xiaomi has launched the SkyNomad, its first vehicle based on the Xiaomi Kunlun architecture. The hybrid SUV is offered as the five-seat, all-wheel-drive SkyNomad N70 Max and the seven-seat SkyNomad N90 Max, with the latter rated for up to 1,705 km of combined driving range.
Chinese pricing starts at the equivalent of €33,545, while the N90 Max is listed from €38,700. Xiaomi positions the SkyNomad as a reconfigurable, space-focused SUV, saying its inside-out body design delivers usable interior volume comparable to an MPV.
The N90 Max measures 5,285 mm long and has a 3,080 mm wheelbase. Its exterior includes an active front grille, dragonfly-inspired lighting elements and smart door handles with 360-degree anti-collision sensing. Xiaomi quotes a drag coefficient of 0.255.
Inside, Xiaomi says 95% of surfaces use soft-touch materials, while the nearly three-metre-long cabin floor is completely flat. A First Class mode is claimed to provide 1.55 metres of legroom. The SUV uses an Armor Cage body made from 90.4% high-strength steel and aluminum, alongside 12 standard airbags and the Xiaomi Armor Scale battery structure with 18 structural protection features.
The infotainment system is powered by Qualcomm's 4 nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and includes the Hyper XiaoAi AI assistant, a 15,000-nit head-up display and a 25-speaker audio system. Xiaomi's HAD driving system uses the XLA architecture, 700 TOPS of computing power and front and rear LiDAR sensors.
Kunlun HyperRange hybrid hardware uses battery packs ranging from 52 kWh to 76 kWh. On the CLTC cycle, Xiaomi rates the N70 Max for up to 505 km of electric-only range and the N90 Max for 464 km. With its fuel tank included, the N90 Max reaches the 1,705 km combined figure; Xiaomi also quotes 6.26 L/100 km consumption with a depleted battery.
The dual-motor AWD system produces 310 kW, and the SkyNomad has five-level adjustable air suspension. Xiaomi has not provided international market availability details.
