Leaked renders and purported live photographs have outlined a possible new design direction for Huawei’s Mate 90 lineup. The images show a green handset with a textured upper rear section, a large circular camera module carrying XMAGE branding, and what appears to be a gold-toned frame.
The alleged green Mate 90 has a two-part rear treatment: a grid of vertical and horizontal lines across the upper portion creates a fabric-like texture, while the lower half appears comparatively plain. Its glossy camera-ring finish contrasts with the matte back panel. Three cameras are visible in the circular island, alongside an apparent LED flash and another upper sensor that may be used for focusing.
Renders attributed to Digital Chat Station show a front design that appears broadly similar to the Mate 80 generation. The leak does not provide display sizes, resolutions or details on the front-camera hardware.
Huawei has used prominent circular camera modules across several Mate generations, and the new images suggest the Mate 90 family could retain that shape while differentiating models through finishes, colors and materials. Separate purported images of the Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design show a red version that is said to use a ceramic body.
The reportedly planned Mate 90 range includes four models:

- Huawei Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design
The lineup is rumored to be headed for a China launch, with October 1 mentioned as a possible announcement date. Huawei has not confirmed the models, launch timing or wider international availability.
