Huawei’s next Mate flagship range may extend to five models, with early leaks also pointing to a 200MP telephoto camera for the Mate 90 Pro Max. The information remains unconfirmed, and recently shared images said to show the phone are AI-generated concepts based on blurry photos and leaker descriptions rather than official Huawei material.
A separate report describes a possible Mate 90 family spanning the following devices:

- Huawei Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design
The Mate 90 Pro Max is rumored to pair its 200MP telephoto unit with a 50MP main camera and a 40MP ultrawide. A high-resolution telephoto sensor could give Huawei more latitude for crops and intermediate zoom levels, although image quality will still depend on sensor size, optics and Huawei’s processing—details that have not surfaced.
The standard Mate 90 and Mate 90 Pro are reportedly set to use a 50MP main camera, 40MP ultrawide, 50MP telephoto and multispectral sensor. The leak also assigns 66W charging to the base model and 100W charging to the Mate 90 Pro.
AI-generated renders envision the Mate 90 Pro Max with a more pronounced two-tone rear panel, using a colored upper section and a lighter lower portion. Green, pink, orange, white and gold have been mentioned as possible finishes, but neither the color selection nor the design has been confirmed. Huawei previously used a split rear design on the Mate 60 Pro.
Earlier information suggested that the base Mate 90 could retain the Kirin 9030 chipset, while the Pro, Pro Max and RS versions would move to newer silicon. If accurate, the lineup would separate its models through cameras, charging, processors and finishes rather than screen size alone. Huawei has yet to confirm the devices or their specifications, leaving the official announcement as the key test for these leaks.
