Huawei could release its first teaser for a more compact foldable PC next week, potentially expanding the MateBook Fold lineup. According to Huawei Central, the claim comes from Weibo leaker FixedFocus, who says the device is already in development.
A teaser would not necessarily mean the product will launch next week. An earlier rumor pointed to a November debut, but Huawei has not confirmed the device or disclosed a launch schedule.
The rumored compact model has previously been linked to the codename “Semporna” and model number SPN-W52. A device carrying that identifier appeared in China’s 3C certification database with support for 66W charging, although the filing does not establish that it is Huawei’s new foldable PC.
FixedFocus has also suggested that the machine may weigh about 600 grams and include an external display for use while the PC is closed. Exact screen sizes and the final hardware configuration remain unknown.
Huawei’s existing MateBook Fold Ultimate provides the clearest reference point: it uses an 18-inch foldable display that closes into a footprint similar to a 13-inch laptop. It can run fully unfolded or folded at 90 degrees, with a virtual keyboard occupying the lower half of the screen.
Huawei has discussed future PC products at a HarmonyOS ecosystem event without identifying a compact MateBook Fold among them. The anticipated teaser, if it appears, should clarify whether Semporna is part of those plans.
