Acer has unveiled the Iconia X14 and Iconia X16, two unusually large Android 16 tablets that can also work as external displays through USB-C video input. The 14-inch and 16-inch OLED models are headed to North America and EMEA in the fourth quarter of 2026, with pricing still to be announced.
The shared platform is modest for displays of this size: a MediaTek Helio G80 processor, 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage. Both tablets have two USB-C ports, including one dedicated to receiving a video signal from a compatible laptop or other device, alongside wireless screen casting. That monitor capability is a key differentiator in a category where 14-inch and 16-inch Android tablets remain uncommon.
Both models use 1,920 × 1,200-pixel, 60Hz OLED panels in a 16:10 aspect ratio. The Iconia X14, model X14-21M, has the stronger display specifications: 400 nits of stated brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. The Iconia X16, or X16-21M, raises the screen size but is rated at 300 nits and 95% DCI-P3 coverage at the same resolution.
Acer lists the X14 at about 910g and 9.1mm thick. The larger X16 measures 367.36 × 243.92 × 9.3mm and weighs about 980g. Each ships with a tripod-style stand, while an active stylus and detachable keyboard will be offered separately.
Other common hardware includes an 8,000mAh, 30.4Wh battery rated for up to 10 hours of use, quad speakers, an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Connectivity is limited to Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0, while the microSD slot supports cards of up to 2TB.
Acer positions the Iconia X line around entertainment and education rather than high-end performance. The new models are also less powerful on paper than the Iconia Duo S14 and S12 introduced at Computex 2026, but their large OLED panels and direct USB-C display input set them apart. Acer has yet to reveal how it will price that combination when the tablets reach North America and EMEA later this year.
