Good news for those who want to purchase a HTC Flyer or its US version, HTC Evo View 4G: HTC just confirmed that the device will get Android 3.0 Honeycomb via software upgrade. This will happen as soon as the platform is available.

We wonder what will become of the Samsung Galaxy Tab and other Android 2.x slates that could use the Honeycomb boost. It seems that Google has a certain agreement with Android 3.0 slate manufacturers, saying that if they already created a device with 2.x Android, they won’t be able to update it to 3.0. This means that we could see the Flyer delayed a bit and launched directly with Honeycomb, while Android 2.3 was only used for its showcasing in trade shows.

What other Android 2.x tablet would you like to see upgraded?
