Apple has unveiled the Apple Home Collection, a smart-home accessory range developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The products are designed to pair with an iPhone in a single tap and operate through the Apple Home app, without separate companion apps or accounts.
The first wave spans home security, access control and climate management. Apple says the connected devices use Thread for a stable home network and can update Wi-Fi credentials automatically when a household changes its router. Home automations can also combine the accessories in Siri scenes, such as adjusting the thermostat, disabling indoor cameras and starting HomePod playback.
Security cameras and a UWB lock

LG’s security range includes four 2.5K cameras with intelligent recognition for people, familiar faces, pets, vehicles and packages. Video is processed locally or through Private Cloud Compute, while recordings are end-to-end encrypted in iCloud+.
- LG Video Doorbell Wired: a dual-camera doorbell intended to show both a visitor and packages at the door.
- LG Floodlight Cam: an outdoor camera with adaptive floodlights.
- LG Outdoor Cam Plug-in: a plug-in outdoor security camera.
- LG Indoor Cam Plug-in: an indoor model that automatically tilts its lens downward when the first household member arrives home.

The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock uses Ultra Wideband to detect an approaching owner carrying a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch and unlock the door without physical interaction. It supports Matter and Aliro, and is designed to operate locally so access remains available during an internet outage. The lock can be paired with the video doorbell for viewing and unlocking a door from one interface or through Siri.
LG and Schneider Electric are also supplying smart thermostats with Adaptive Temperature, using on-device intelligence on an iPhone to adjust heating or air conditioning around household presence and sleep routines. Temperature and humidity readings can come from dedicated Home Collection sensors or sensors built into the following Apple devices:

- HomeView speakers.
- HomePod speakers.
- HomePod mini speakers.
Apple says Home app data remains end-to-end encrypted and unavailable to Apple, LG and Schneider Electric. Automations can lock the door and activate monitoring once the final household member leaves.

The accessories will begin rolling out through Apple Store locations and Apple’s online store in December, with some products not due until early 2027. European availability remains dependent on the local rollout of Apple Intelligence and Siri AI capabilities.
