Apple is reportedly preparing to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro Max on September 9, with preorders expected to begin on either September 11 or September 12. Details surrounding the standard iPhone 18 Pro point to a familiar compact Pro format, alongside a new processor and changes to the camera hardware.

The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to use Apple’s A20 Pro processor, said to be built on a 2nm process. The chip is rumored to include an 8-core GPU, while memory and storage configurations could reach 12GB of RAM with 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of flash storage.

Apple is reportedly retaining the 6.3-inch screen size. The panel is expected to be an LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a smaller Dynamic Island could improve the phone’s screen-to-body ratio. A new-generation protective glass is also anticipated.

On the rear, the device is rumored to pair a variable-aperture wide camera with 48-megapixel periscope telephoto and 48-megapixel ultra-wide cameras. An 18-megapixel camera using a square sensor is also expected, while the Camera Control button should remain part of the hardware.

Blue, silver and burgundy red have been mentioned as possible finishes, with reports indicating that rear-panel shade variations may be reduced this time around. Apple has yet to confirm the launch schedule, configurations, colors or pricing.
