ASUS is bringing NVIDIA’s Grace Blackwell-based RTX Spark platform to a compact Windows desktop with the ProArt GR1X, a 150 × 150 × 51 mm mini PC designed for local AI workloads. The system combines a 20-core NVIDIA Grace CPU, a Blackwell RTX GPU with 6,144 cores and up to 128GB of LPDDR5X unified memory in a roughly 1.1-liter enclosure.

The headline capability is local model capacity: ASUS says the GR1X can handle AI models with up to 120 billion parameters. It also cites support for roughly 90GB 3D scenes and hardware-accelerated 4:2:2 video. Its claimed AI throughput reaches 1 petaFLOP in FP4 precision, a figure specific to AI processing rather than general-purpose system performance.

Unlike portable RTX Spark systems, the desktop chassis gives ASUS room for a 140W thermal design. Cooling consists of two 109-blade fans, four heat pipes and 57 wide exhaust fins, while power is supplied by a 240W USB-C PD EPR 3.1 adapter. The GR1X weighs 1.48kg.

Connectivity and configurations

ASUS ProArt GR1X mini PC with NVIDIA RTX Spark hardware and up to 128GB unified memory
  • Memory: 64GB or up to 128GB of unified LPDDR5X memory
  • Storage: 1TB, 2TB or up to 4TB SSD, with two M.2 NVMe slots supporting PCIe 5.0 and PCIe 4.0
  • Networking: 10 Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 2×2 and Bluetooth 5.4
  • Display output: HDMI 2.1 plus DisplayPort Alt Mode through USB-C, supporting up to four simultaneous monitors and up to 8K over HDMI
  • Ports: three USB-C 3.2 Gen 2×2 ports at 20Gbps with DisplayPort Alt Mode
  • Operating system: Windows 11 Home or Windows 11 Pro

ASUS positions the GR1X for creators, developers and teams running AI tools on local hardware. It is set to support the company’s local-AI software stack, including Hermes Agent and ComfyUI, alongside ASUS applications. The always-on desktop format could also suit persistent local agents and workflows that keep project files off cloud services.

The ProArt GR1X is expected later this year through specialist retailers, primarily in 64GB and 128GB configurations. ASUS has not announced pricing or a detailed market-by-market release schedule.
