If you can never get enough coverage to suit your needs, there’s always the satellite phone to go to, with a recent and appealing model being the TerreStar GENUS, sold by AT&T. The device was unveiled recently and it comes with a $799 price tag.

GENUS is bundled with a $25 per month contract, that’ll cost you 65 cents per minute and 40 cents per message, as long as you use the satellite. A megabyte of data transfer is charged $5, all of these added to your standard plan, too. Coverage is limited to the US for now, although we’ve heard that Canada might be included as well.

Here’s a specs list of the device, in case you’re interested:

OS: Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Professional
Connectivity: Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g, GPS
Storage: microSD (up to 16GB)
Other features: camera, touch display
