Audio-Technica has unveiled the ATH-TWX9MK3 flagship true wireless earbuds, introducing a noise-cancellation system designed to account for how each individual earbud fits. Its Fit-Adaptive Noise Cancelling technology uses upgraded MEMS microphones to detect changes in earbud position in real time, allowing ANC to be adjusted separately when the seal differs between the left and right ears.

The ATH-TWX9MK3 uses 5.8mm Pure Motion Driver Gen2 units with beryllium-coated diaphragms. Audio-Technica says the design is intended to deliver more precise sound with lower distortion. LHDC-V5 support enables wireless transmission at up to 192kHz/24-bit when paired with a compatible device.

  • Battery life is rated at up to 11 hours from the earbuds with ANC enabled, or up to 33 hours including the charging case. With ANC off, total battery life rises to up to 45 hours.
  • Wireless support includes Bluetooth 6.0, LHDC-V5, LDAC, LC3, AAC and SBC, along with multipoint connectivity.
  • The earbuds carry an IPX4 splash-resistance rating and support wireless charging.
  • Audio-Technica includes eight pairs of ear tips, offered in two shapes and four sizes.
  • The companion Connect app includes Neuromusic relaxation sounds.

Audio-Technica says ANC-on battery life is roughly 1.8 times longer than on the previous ATH-TWX9MK2. The new model was announced on November 5 and shown publicly at Tokyo’s Autumn Headphone Festival on November 7.

The ATH-TWX9MK3 is scheduled to go on sale in Japan on November 20, 2026, in black and beige, with a listed price of ¥41,800. Pricing and release plans for other markets have not been confirmed.
