Guess what’s coming to T-Mobile USA this year? It’s the BlackBerry 9700 handset, also known as Onyx, that just got pictured below in an official image. This if the carrier’s first 3G BlackBerry smartphone and we found out that it sports a premium design, thanks to its high-gloss black finish and leather grain details at the back.

Wi-Fi calling is on board, together with visual voicemail, corporate/personal e-mail, mobile apps available via the BlackBerry App World (Amazon MP3 store included) and TeleNav GPS Navigator (turn by turn directions). BlackBerry Onyx supports quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, plus UMTS/HSPA and Wi-Fi a,b,g.

Its screen is a 480 x 360 pixel display, the device runs BlackBerry OS 5.0 and, as you can see there’s also a QWERTY keyboard present at the front. A 3.2 megapixel camera is incorporated in the back and moving on to the front side we discover the brand new BlackBerry trackpad, replacing the traditional track ball.
