Sprint and RIM have just announced the availability of the BlackBerry Style 9670 flip phone, pictured below. This device is up for pre-order starting today and it’ll reach Sprint shops exclusively starting October 31. It goes for $99 with new activation and can be purchased in two color versions: purple and silver.

The handset runs BlackBerry OS 6.0 and sports an attractive clamshell design, with an external screen showing missed calls, messages and the time. Once you open the flip side, you’re greeted by a BlackBerry-specific full QWERTY keyboard. Here’s the list of specs for the BlackBerry 9670:

Camera: 5MP,continuous autofocus, image stabilization, flash, VGA video capture
Memory: 512MB onboard, 8GB memory card included, microSD slot (up to 32GB)

Other features: trackpad, password protection, tethered modem capability

Geotagging and location-based apps are also supported on the device, as well as social networking services.
