A week ago or so, here on GSMDome we’ve showed you the Samart IQ i-mobile II, a new Android One smartphone that was launched in Thailand. Shortly after, on August 10th, Cherry Mobile (Philippines), was going to release a similar device with Google’s special platform. Today, we get the chance to know more about this smartphone.

First, we get to know that its name is Cherry Mobile G1. In terms of hardware specs, we’re getting a 5-inch HD IPS display (1280 x 720 pixels) + Dragontrail Glass protection, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor on 64-bit that is clocked at 1.2 GHz, 2 GB of RAM memory and 16 GB space of internal storage.

This phone packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor and dual-SIM support. We get 4G LTE Cat.4, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, a microUSB v2.0 port and a 3.5 mm audio jack for music playback.

Cherry Mobile G1 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, and its battery is a 2.500 mAh removable one. When it comes to price, we’re looking at a pretty accessible device that will cost you just $128.
