Although Dell Streak has been given positive reviews all over the web, the device has a couple of aspects that might not fit well with the US market, like the older Android flavor on it and the $549 price tag for the locked version of the device. Dell’s Lionel Menchaca mentioned recently that at least the Android part will be solved, by launching the tablet straight with Froyo on the US market.

No info on a timeframe of said release, but we’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, a short recap on why the Streak is so hot: 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, front VGA camera, a 5 inch WVGA touchscreen display, an accelerometer, 16GB of storage, 512MB ROM, 512MB RAM and a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU.
