We’ve tested an Mstar device, Gionee models and a Leagoo and finally the much talked about Elephone brand has reached us. The Elephone Trunk model is unboxed below and the first contact revealed a soft touch back for this model.

Elephone Trunk Unboxing

This is a 5 inch phone that seems to rival the likes of the Xiaomi Mi 4i and HTC Desire models. Priced at 160 euros on a certified European store, the smartphone has a tall box and inside we find a charger, USB cable, manual and screen protection. The handset has a slightly curved back and a back texture that feels soft touch, like the ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser and HTC Windows Phone 8X.

Elephone Trunk weighs 138 grams, has a 5 inch IPS LCD display and a quad core Snapdragon 410 processor. On board we’ve got 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a back 13 megapixel shooter. This is a dual SIM dual standby model, with a 2 MP selfie camera and a 2100 mAh battery. The handset runs Android 5.1 with ELE UI on top, with a pretty interesting customization.

It seems to combine the folders with some sort of rows and columns. We’ll be back with a full review ASAP.
