Gionee’s elegant new smartphone, the S6 has launched in India, the first country where it debuts following the launch in China. This device packs a very narrow bezel screen with an AMOLED panel and has an affordable price tag.

In India the Gionee S6 is exclusively sold by online retailer Flipkart, that offers it in gold, silver and rose gold. Priced at $295, this model packs an octa core MediaTek MT6753 processor, clocked at 1.3 GHz and it also sports a 5.5 inch 720p display, as well as 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, plus a 3150 mAh battery.

There’s a 13 megapixel back camera, a 5 MP selfie camera and all of that is crammed within a 6.9 mm thick chassis. Android 5.1 Lollipop is the OS here, with the AMIGO OS 3.1 on top. It weighs 137 grams and provides up to 18.8 hours of talk time and 342 hours of standby.
