Google plans not only to launch Android 3.0 Gingerbread close to the year end, but also release a music service, the follow-up to the acquisition of the music-streaming service Simplified Media. Both the OS and music service will come in Q4 and we’ve heard that Apple also wants to launch its own streaming service, following the acquisition of Lala.

Google is probably trying to rival Apple yet again and regarding their service, the info about it comes from Israeli financial newspaper Calcalist. They published an interview with Android product manager Gaurav Jain, who mentioned that Google’s music service will arrive with Android 3.0 during the holiday season.
