Google has removed the Pixel Tablet from the Google Store roughly three years after its 2023 launch, with the product page now redirecting to the store. The tablet category has also disappeared from the site’s main navigation. Google has not issued a formal discontinuation notice, but the changes point to the device being phased out.
Existing owners are still set to receive support. Google’s official update policy lists the Pixel Tablet for operating-system and security updates through June 2028, and the device is eligible for Android 17, which has already reached a stable release.
The Pixel Tablet launched as a hybrid Android slate and smart-display-style home device when paired with its Charging Speaker Dock. Its core hardware included Google’s Tensor G2 chip and a 10.95-inch display.
A successor may no longer be on the roadmap. Google was reportedly developing a Pixel Tablet 2 with a 120Hz display and 4K external-monitor support before the project was canceled; a later tablet generation was also reportedly put on hold. Google still lists the Pixel Tablet and Charging Speaker Dock as available in certain markets, suggesting a gradual withdrawal rather than a globally announced end of sales.
