Hisense has unveiled V AIOS at IFA 2026, expanding its VIDAA smart TV platform with AI features that reach beyond automatic picture presets. The headline addition is AI Companion, which can answer questions about actors appearing on screen and point viewers to other films or series they have appeared in without requiring them to leave what they are watching.
The company demonstrated V AIOS in Berlin as a platform that combines content-aware interaction with processing for TV audio and video. Rather than keeping AI confined to background optimization, Hisense is bringing it into the interface as a way to retrieve information related to the program currently playing.
AI Sound adjusts audio processing according to the type of content and the room where the TV is installed. Hisense positioned the feature as a way to emphasize different parts of a soundtrack depending on the material, such as effects and impact in action films or dialogue in dialogue-focused productions.
Selected setups can also use Hi-Concerto, which synchronizes compatible TV speakers with a soundbar and the wider audio system. The approach is intended to keep the television's speakers involved in the soundstage after a soundbar is connected.
On the video side, AI Picture applies separate processing for films, games and sports. The system covers upscaling, color, contrast, sharpness and motion handling, with the goal of adapting image treatment to the material rather than using one profile for every source.
Hisense linked those capabilities to its RGB MiniLED television range and Hi-View AI processors, which are designed to manage light output, color and motion with finer control. The company showed different processing behavior for sports, movies and gaming during its IFA demonstration.
Hisense has not detailed which V AIOS televisions will receive every feature, nor has it confirmed a rollout schedule or market availability. Those details will determine how broadly AI Companion and the platform's AI picture and sound tools reach the company's TV lineup.
