TCL used IFA 2026 to push its NXTHOME connected-home strategy beyond TVs and phones, bringing together AI-assisted laundry appliances, air conditioning, refrigerators, security products, solar generation and battery storage. The common goal is to automate everyday household settings, from detergent dosing and cooling to energy use and food storage conditions.
The TCL AI SuperDrum Wash & Dry Tower P9 Ultra is among the clearest examples. The stacked washer-and-dryer system has the footprint of a single floor appliance, while TCL’s Generative AI Wash system uses sensors to assess laundry load, fabric type and soil level. It can then adjust water volume, temperature, detergent quantity and cycle duration, according to the company.
The tower uses a 540 mm drum with six bionic lifting elements. Its dryer combines a triple-inverter heat-pump system with lower-temperature drying, a configuration designed to reduce the stress placed on garments during drying.
TCL also showed the FreshIN 3.0 Ultra air conditioner, which supports offline voice commands rather than requiring an internet connection for basic spoken control. The unit monitors indoor air quality and uses TCL’s T-AI algorithm to adapt its operation; TCL claims potential additional energy savings of up to 37%. It can operate at noise levels as low as 16 dB and includes air filtration for incoming air.
Two microphones allow the FreshIN 3.0 Ultra to determine the speaker’s direction. That enables commands such as “Follow me” and “Don’t follow me” to alter the direction of airflow. TCL is also tying climate control into its Solar AC Solution, where locally generated solar electricity can be used for air conditioning alongside other home-energy components.
In the kitchen, TCL’s Free Built-in refrigerators are intended to sit nearly flush with cabinetry. They use concealed hinges and require 1 cm of side clearance for a 90-degree door opening. Features include thinner insulation to maximize interior capacity, adjustable shelves, humidity-controlled drawers and a compartment that can switch between refrigerator and freezer modes.
TCL describes intelligent storage-condition controls and adaptable temperature and humidity zones for the refrigerator range, but has not confirmed that the appliances can automatically identify every food item placed inside. The emphasis is instead on reducing manual adjustments for foods with different storage needs.
The wider NXTHOME setup also includes TCL Green photovoltaic panels, home batteries and energy controls, alongside smart locks such as the K11D Pro with visitor and parcel cameras. The D2 Pro supports palm-vein recognition and Matter, allowing integration with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings. TCL additionally highlighted its family-focused AI companions, including AiMe and Tbot; Tbot can converse, tell stories and recognize objects.
FreshIN air conditioners and Free Built-in refrigerators were already part of TCL’s IFA 2025 presence, but the 2026 showcase places more emphasis on linking them with automation, security and locally produced energy. TCL has not detailed market-by-market availability or pricing for the products shown, leaving the scope of that integrated rollout to be confirmed.
