Huawei’s Watch GT 7 Pro is built around endurance: the company rates its 867 mAh battery for up to 21 days under light use and 12 days with more typical active use. In testing, the watch lasted for more than a week with health tracking, sleep monitoring, frequent interface use and high display brightness without requiring a recharge.

The 45.6 mm smartwatch pairs that battery focus with a 1.47-inch, 466 x 466 AMOLED display rated for up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Its case is 11.2 mm thick and weighs 56 g, with an aerospace-grade titanium alloy body, Nano-Tech Ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal display protection. Huawei offers black, green and yellow versions, each with a color-matched bezel and strap.

A redesigned EasyCross Strap is among the subtler hardware changes. It uses a flatter attachment arrangement intended to avoid the visible loops found on conventional straps, while making the band slimmer and more comfortable for extended wear. The review unit’s green finish gives the otherwise familiar octagonal GT-series design a more distinctive look.

Fitness is the major software focus. Huawei has added an indoor ski mode, which tracks turns, speed, heart rate, heart-rate zone, SpO2, calories and recovery time. The company says it combines Sunflower GPS, an IMU and other sensor data with a new algorithm for indoor analysis. For outdoor skiing, the watch provides resort maps covering more than 3,000 ski resorts worldwide, including piste difficulty markings and lift names where available.

The watch also supports route imports, climb planning and sharp-turn alerts for cycling, alongside golf tools and a broad set of tracked sports. Huawei quotes up to 51 hours of Trail Running runtime, equating that to a 160 km route, and up to 44 hours for cycling, or about 600 km. Actual results will depend on the tracking modes, screen settings and other usage conditions.

Huawei says Physical Readiness will arrive in a future software update. The feature is designed to assess readiness across five levels using sleep, HRV, emotional-state and calorie data, and will surface recovery information after waking. A Morning Brief is also planned to provide sleep results and training or rest recommendations shortly after the user wakes up.

The health hardware includes heart-rate, SpO2, skin-temperature and ECG sensors, plus an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer and compass. Sleep reporting is available directly on the watch, covering sleep stages, wake-ups, average heart rate, HRV and respiratory rate. It can also run PPG-based atrial fibrillation risk assessments, pulse wave velocity measurements and fall detection. These measurements are wellness features and should not be treated as a substitute for professional medical advice or diagnosis.

Connectivity includes Bluetooth 6.0 with A2DP and LE, NFC, and positioning support for GPS, BDS, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC and GLONASS. The GT 7 Pro has 64 GB of storage, supports 10 W wireless charging and carries IP69, 5ATM and EN13319 certifications, with Huawei specifying swim and diving protection to 40 m. Curve Pay support enables contactless payments in supported markets and with compatible accounts.

Huawei Health remains the companion app for watch faces, notifications, offline maps and deeper health and activity records. The watch is compatible with Android, iOS and HarmonyOS, while its crown, touchscreen and dedicated workout button provide quick access to navigation and exercise modes.

Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro Review: 21-Day Battery Claim Meets New Indoor Ski Tracking

The Watch GT 7 Pro’s claimed battery advantage and durable premium materials position it as a full-featured sports and health smartwatch rather than a device tied to daily charging. Its most notable additions, however, depend on software and regional service support: Physical Readiness has yet to arrive, and NFC payment availability will vary by market.
