HUAWEI’s Watch GT 7 46mm focuses on one of the line’s established advantages: endurance. The company rates the smartwatch for up to three weeks of light use or 12 days under normal use, while Trail Running Mode is said to support tracking sessions of up to 51 hours. In testing, the watch did not require a recharge over the review period.
The 46mm model combines a stainless-steel case and bezel with a fibre-reinforced composite rear panel. At 46 x 46 x 10.95mm and 51.3g without its strap, it remains relatively slim for a large round smartwatch. The Blue version has a silver dial surround, while the Yellow and Black variants use a black bezel. All three retain the octagonal styling around the display.
Its 1.47-inch AMOLED screen has a 466 x 466 resolution and a quoted peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Navigation is handled through the touchscreen, a rotating crown and a dedicated workout button. The crown can scroll through menus and detailed health or fitness pages, while the secondary key provides quick access to workout tracking.
HUAWEI has also introduced an EasyCross strap design intended to sit flatter on the wrist than a conventional buckle arrangement. The strap runs beneath a simple buckle rather than layering excess material over the wrist. The Watch GT 7 is rated IP69 and 5ATM for dust and water resistance; unlike the Watch GT 7 Pro, it does not carry the Pro model’s EN13319 40m diving support.
Indoor skiing and readiness data expand the fitness suite

The key additions are aimed at activity tracking. An indoor ski mode uses the company’s Sunflower GPS system and sensor data to record metrics including runs, turns, speed, heart rate, heart-rate zone, SpO2, calories and recovery time. HUAWEI says its AI-XDR processing combines accelerometer, gyroscope and other sensor inputs to calculate route and distance during fast descents, while also tracking G-force through turns.

For outdoor skiing, the watch provides resort navigation and is claimed to support 3,000 ski resorts globally. It can display trail difficulty colours, piste information and lift names. The wider sports catalogue covers more than 110 activities, with updated cycling tracking that includes climb planning and sharp-turn alerts, plus golf-specific tools.
A newer Physical Readiness feature assigns one of five readiness levels—excellent, good, moderate, low or attention needed—using sleep, HRV, emotional-state and calorie data. It also surfaces recovery status after waking. A Morning Brief delivered five to 10 minutes after waking can include sleep information and exercise or rest recommendations.
The health suite includes heart-rate, SpO2, skin-temperature, sleep and stress monitoring, alongside step and calorie tracking. Sleep reports cover bedtime, wake time, deep, light and REM sleep, awakenings, average heart rate, HRV and average respiratory rate. The device also offers sedentary reminders, breathing exercises, diet logging and Family Space, which can share health data with family members. HUAWEI also includes diabetes-risk and atrial-fibrillation-risk monitoring features, though smartwatch readings and risk assessments are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or professional advice.

ECG monitoring is the principal health feature reserved for the Watch GT 7 Pro. The standard Watch GT 7 otherwise carries much of the same monitoring package, positioning the two models apart chiefly through materials, diving support and ECG availability.

The Watch GT 7 pairs with the HUAWEI Health app on Android and iOS, where users can review activity, health and sleep data, access watch faces and change watch settings. NFC is present, and the watch supports Curve Pay for contactless payments where the service is available. Regional payment support, health-feature availability and compatible banks may vary.
The Watch GT 7 is also available in a smaller 41mm size. The 46mm model reviewed here brings a sportier visual direction than the GT 7 Pro while keeping HUAWEI’s long-battery formula intact. The most consequential remaining distinction for prospective users is whether ECG support and the Pro model’s diving certification justify stepping up from the standard model.
