Xiaomi has unveiled a Ceramic Special Edition of the Xiaomi 18 Fold just hours before the foldable's China launch. The new version uses a pale pink ceramic finish, while retaining the standard model's overall design and camera layout.
Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi's mobile division, presented the edition and said the ceramic treatment means individual units will have subtly different shades. Xiaomi appears to be making the material and color the central distinction, with no other visible hardware changes announced for the special model.
The standard Xiaomi 18 Fold has been shown in Warm Gold White, Black and Xiye Red. Xiaomi also placed the device on display at IFA 2026 before its official launch, offering an early look at its unusually compact book-style form factor.
Xiaomi calls the design a “mid-fold” format. It pairs a 5.38-inch outer display with a 7.58-inch folding inner screen, both using near-2:1 aspect ratios. That makes the phone shorter and wider than many conventional book-style foldables. The internal panel uses a dual-layer UTG, or ultra-thin glass, construction.
Inside, the 18 Fold is powered by Xiaomi's XRING O3 processor and LPDDR6 memory from ChangXin. Xiaomi claims an AnTuTu score above 5.22 million points. Its Leica-branded camera system includes a 200-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera.
The phone is also equipped with a 6,000mAh battery containing 20% silicon, with support for 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. Full pricing, configurations and launch details are expected from the China event; international availability, including a possible European release, remains unconfirmed.
