HONOR may equip the upcoming Magic9 Pro Max with an external teleconverter reaching a 500mm equivalent focal length, according to a leak from Digital Chat Station on Weibo. The accessory is said to be part of a broader photography kit built around the company’s next flagship phone.

The leak names two dedicated teleconverters: the G200, rated for a 200mm equivalent focal length, and the G500, which would extend to 500mm. A professional camera grip is also reportedly in development for the Magic9 Pro Max. The claim currently applies specifically to the Pro Max model rather than the entire Magic9 lineup.

Some reports have characterized the 500mm attachment as roughly 20.8x zoom when measured against a main camera, but that figure was not stated in the original leak. The practical size and weight of a 500mm-equivalent accessory also remain unknown, especially when paired with a grip.
