An unannounced handset from HTC has just been spotted on the web and believe it or not I’m talking about a dual SIM handset here called the HTC Wind. This is a HTC One S lookalike, with midrange specs and the equivalent of $315 as price tag, which is not bad at all.

Also known under the codename HTC T328w, this device ues a single core 1 GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, a 4 inch Super LCD WVGA screen and a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. Win runs Android 4.0 ICS and it even throws in HTC Sense 4.0, apparently, although considering the specs, I have a feeling it’s in fact a dumbed down version of the UI. It’s very unlikely that this model will ever leave China, unless some European retailer decides to order it in bulk, but if it’s based on CDMA technology, that will be useless.

However, people who know more about the phone say that it actually works on 900/2100 MHz HSPA bands, so it will work in Europe. If this one enters the mass market, it could cannibalize the sales of HTC One V, that was meant to be the more affordable unit of the One series.
