Intex Technologies has launched the Aqua Amaze, a new smartphone in the Aqua series, that’s priced below $200 and comes with a 5 inch screen. we’re dealing with a $174 phone here, one that offers a HD IPS panel with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and Android 4.4 KitKat as the OS.

We’ve got on board a 13 megapixel main rear camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front shooter. These specs are actually similar to the ones of the Aqua Star HD, that was launched last month, but this model has a 1.4 GHz octa core processor, instead of the 1.3 GHz quad core CPU. Preinstalled on the phone are the following: Opera Mini, Zapak, OLX, WeChat, Saavn, Newshunt, Flipkart, Clean Master, Getit and some more apps.

Aqua Amaze uses a OGS display with full lamination and comes with dual SIM card slots and quite a thin chassis. This model measures 7.6 mm in thickness, has HSPA+ connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a 2000 mAh battery. It comes in light blue and black, with a stylish gift box design.
